Judiciary should be subject to system rather than individuals: Justice Mansoor Ali Shah

LAHORE (92 News) – Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that the judiciary should be subject to the system rather than individuals.

Speaking at the Asma Jahangir Conference on Saturday, he said that the judge not working properly should be removed. “It is mandatory to change the method of the appointment of the judges. We will have to come out of the method of recommendations if we want to run the system,” he added.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that the people sell their buffaloes and goats to reach courts, but later they come to know there is a strike in courts today.

“About 2.4 million cases are pending across the country. As many as 70,000 cases are filed daily. Cases cannot be dealt with until introducing technology,” he added.
