Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that he will play an active role in improving the media industry and getting it out of problems.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in his message on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day that he salutes journalists and media workers on World Press Freedom Day.
He said that journalists who sacrificed their lives during coverage in Gaza are heroes of humanity. Fighting oppression and bringing out the truth is the message of World Press Freedom Day.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the media and all the parties have to play a role together for correct information. Media and freedom of expression are considered as a matter of survival and survival of democracy.
He said that during our 16-month government, Pakistan has improved by 7 levels in the Press Freedom Index, while the media industry will play an active role in the improvement and recovery of the problems.
